In an act of Social Giving, New Zealand’s top provider of access hire equipment, Te Rapa-based Industry Hire, have supported RAW (Reclaim Another Woman) as part of the Stretton Foundation.

Through a generous donation, the team at Industry Hire have once again demonstrated their dedication to giving back to their community. “We are proud to support the amazing work that the good people at RAW do,” says Industry Hire Co-owner, Mike Turney.

RAW was founded by Annah Stretton along with her sister,  Rebecca,  in 2014 with the goal of helping to break New Zealand’s intergenerational cycles of offending, domestic and sexual abuse, poverty, under-education and inequality. that exists for growing numbers of disadvantaged women and their families.

Their mission is to help disadvantaged women coming from an incarcerated environment with all the skills, confidence and support they need to turn their life around.

“RAW’s plays an important role in giving these woman much needed support and services,” adds Mike.

This wide-ranging support includes accommodation, mentoring and community partnerships that enable each parolee to get an education, find fulfilling employment, rebuild positive relationships with children and family. This all comes together with hopes that they can achieve emotional and financial growth.

In 2018, the Stretton Foundation launched ‘RAW On the Inside’ at Auckland Regional Women’s Corrections Facility in an effort to create a culture of hope and desire for a creating better future at the beginning in a woman’s rehabilitation journey.
